| Embedded beneath the snow white folds of the high Himalayas,

Sparsely populated and jealously guarded in its isolation, Buddhist
teachings and philosophy are influential throughout the kingdom. The
number of tourists allowed into this Shangrila are limited and hence
this paradise always lies off the beaten track. Visit ancient monasteries
pecariously built on cliff top, from where the chant of monk's reverberating
off the valley sides. Gladden your hearts amidst a million smiles
that surround you. Trek through God's own country or bird watch at
one of the many mountain lakes. Or just stroll through villages where
the architecture is inspiring and has not changed through centuries.
